2027 Clash of the Clubs-NCAA Certified Event

May 14 - 16, 2027

Below are the game rules for teams playing in the open divisions.

 

  • All Games Will be Played under National High School Federation Rules. 
    • 10 second backcourt rule will be used
    • 5 seconds closely guarded rule will be in effect
  • Away Team (Black/Dark color uniform) will be listed 1st/Top of the Schedule or Bracket
  • Home Team (White/Light color uniform) will be listed 2nd/Bottom of the Schedule or Bracket 
  • A Player can only play on one team in the tournament. 

 

Game length:

  • 2027-2029 16 Minute Halves
  • 2030-2033 14 Minute Halves 
  • Warm-ups are minimum 3 minutes 
  • 2 minute Halftime 
  • 2 minute Overtime

 

Timeouts:

  • 3 (45-second) timeouts per game
  • 1 timeout per overtime session and no carryover into overtime

 

Fouls/Free-throws:

  • 6 personal fouls per player
  • Bonus will begin on the 8th foul: 1 and 1
  • Double Bonus will begin at 11 Fouls: 2 shots 
  • Players may enter on the release

 

Mercy Rule:

  • Running clock in the 2nd half if one team is ahead by 20 or more points. 
  • If the score goes below 20 points, the clock stops again on all whistles.
